Weerknopjes – Wheather buttons

On our way to the beach we say hi to a few neighborhood dogs (who aren’t on a leach and follow us a bit). Lota was walking besides us when it all of the sudden started sprinkling. Bas starts laughing and tells me: “Mommie, Lota pushes the rain button, oh no” “What did she do?” “Turn it off!” While Lota was sniffing in the grass it seemed she was looking for it … and it stopped raining. “Lota turned it off again“. All the way to the beach we were talking about sun buttons, cloud buttons, snow buttons… When we returned I forgot all about it. But Bas didn’t “oh no Lota pushed the dark button”.

Op weg naar de zee passeren we de buurhonden (die niet aan een leiband hangen en ons steeds een beetje volgen). Lota wandelde naast ons wanneer het plots begon te regenen. Bas begint te lachen en zegt me: “Oh nee, mammie, Lota heeft op het regenknopje geduwd” “Wat heeft ze toch gedaan?” “Zet het af!” Terwijl Lota in het gras aan het snuffelen was, leek het wel of ze het aan het zoeken was ... en het stopte met regenen. “Lota heeft het terug afgezet”. Heel de weg naar het strand toe babbelden we over zonknopjes, regenknopjes, sneeuwknopjes, ... Wanneer we terug keerden vergat ik het even allemaal. Maar Bas niet: “oh nee, Lota heeft op het donkerknopje geduwd”.
