Sam the dog at Garden Day

Ginger brought her work dog to Garden Day today. She is a biologist and she trained the dog to catch the invasive brown tree snake. Ginger brought a snake skin along and one of the garden kid hid it in a bush. The dog found it really quickly. As a treat he was aloud to play with a tennis ball, how fun! As long as he was wearing his work outfit (his harness) the kids were not allowed to touch the dog. But when she took it off, the kids met Sam, a very friendly dog. Bas stayed by his side the whole side, he is a true animal friend.

It was Page’s birthday. Terry brought chocolate strawberries for all the kids. They could all blow the candles. What afun idea! It was fun!

Ginger bracht haar werkhond mee naar Garden Day. Ze is bioloog en heeft een hond die getraind is om de invasieve bruine boomslang te vangen. Ginger bracht een slangenhuid mee en één van de Garden Day kindjes verstopte het in de bosjes. De hond vond het erg vlug. Als beloning mocht hij met de tennisbal spelen. Tof he! Maar zolang hij zijn harnas droeg mochten de kindjes hem niet aanraken. Wanneer het af was, ontmoette iedereen Sam, een hele lieve hond. Bas week niet van zijn zijde, een echte dierenvriend.

Page was jarig en had chocolade aardbeien met kaarsjes voor alle kindjes.
