Puppet show and Movies in the park

International Year of the Reef also had a puppet show and a movie about rainforests at Asan Beach Park that same day.

It was so much fun! Bas is confident nowadays. He runs to his friends and plays and searches his way on the festival field (he knew a lot of them witch was really fun).

The puppet show is about watersheds (recognize the koko I’ve made in the picture?) and Bas loved it! They did the show twice and when they called out for the second performance he ran towards it without looking back.

After this and some other activities we watched on a big screen an animation movie about rainforests and fairy’s. We don’t have a television so he never saw a movie before, but since he is three it is ok for this occasion. Ekko didn’t even attempt to look. He played with our pick nick cups on our camping blankets. It was really cozy. Bas sat on my lap and I helped explaining a bit about the movie. It was a funny, the last week we where busy working around a book about the conservation of forests for the homeschooling. I will send a few pictures later on.

International Year of the Reef bracht diezelfde dag ook een poppenkast voorstelling en een film over het behoud van het regenwoud.

Het was echt heel tof! En Bas is zo zelfzeker. Hij loopt naar zijn vrienden en speelt en zoekt zijn eigen weg op het festivalveld (hij kende er aardig wat volk, wat wel leuk was).

De poppenkast was over stroomgebieden (herken je de koko vogel die ik ookt maakte voor hun project) en Bas was er gek van! Er waren twee voorstellingen en wanneer ze de tweede aankondigden rende hij er zonder om te kijken naartoe.

Na dit waren er tal van andere activiteiten en als laatste was er een film op een groot scherm over het behoud van het regenwoud met toverfeeën. Wij hebben geen televisie dus zag nooit eerder een film. Hij is 3 nu, dus voor deze gelegenheid was het wel ok. Ekko deed niet eens een poging om te kijken. Hij speelde heel de tijd met de kommetjes van onze pick nick op onze dekentjes. Het was gezellig. Bas zat de hele tijd op mijn schoot and ik hielp hem om het wat uit te leggen. Het was grappig, de laatste week werkten we rond een boek over het behoud van bossen voor zijn thuisschool. Ik stuur nog wel wat foto’s van op later.
